How would you rate an athlete’s success? Awards? Impact on your sport? Maybe even his achievements outside of sports in society at large?

The awards they receive throughout their careers are undoubtedly a big part of their perceived success. Some athletes do not like to just receive awards. They will seek to improve the reputation of their sport, as well as have an impact on society and fight for equality.

The five athletes I’m going to discuss are the athletes I think have been the most successful. I should also emphasize that this is not a special order and I am sure everyone will have their opinion.

Tiger Woods (Golf

A controversial start on the list, but despite his rather public failures, Tiger Woods has dominated golf for a long time. Tiger was a sports icon and remains an instantly recognizable face today, even if it doesn’t always happen for the right reasons.

Early career

Woods’ talent manifested itself from a very young age. On the TV show “Good Morning America” Woods showed his talent for the nation. While studying at the University, Woods won several Amateur golf titles in the United States before turning professional in 1996. Golf glory should soon have followed. At the age of 21, Woods won the US Masters at Augusta in 1997, with a points record of 270. He was not only the youngest man to receive this title, but also the first African-American. In the following years, Woods won four US PGA titles, three US Open wins, three US Open wins and three US Masters wins.

Disagreement

In 2009, Woods’s career came to an abrupt halt due to the fact that information about marital infidelity reached the media. Woods denied all the allegations at the beginning of the rumors, but as more people’s names were announced and more evidence emerged, Woods admitted that he had privacy issues. Tiger stepped away from golf to focus on himself and his family.

Despite returning to golf in 2010, Woods continued to struggle on and off the green. A back injury that led to his fourth back surgery and another break from golf. Woods had more personal issues. In 2017, Tiger had to get professional help to administer the medication and pleaded guilty to careless driving.

Return to glory

In 2019, Woods struck a new blow. After 11 years of ups and downs, mainly falls, Tiger won his fifth Masters title, completing a comeback in the style of the movie. Then-President Donald Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Woods’ return from the bases he’s been through inspires everyone who suffers in life. This, combined with his mastery of the golf world before the break, makes Woods one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Serena Williams (tennis

Serena Williams is the greatest athlete of all time, and she is on a par with the greatest athletes of all time. Williams used her status in tennis to promote the women’s tennis game and advocate for women’s equal rights in society.

Tom Brady (NFL)

At the young age of 43, Brady recently conquered his seventh Super Bowl ring. Winning now means he has more Super Bowl victories than any other NFL franchise. Brady has also won the Super Bowl in each of the last three decades. The strangest thing is that it doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon

Early career

Brady was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft. As a sixth-round draft pick, no one would expect Brady to have a career like his. Brady was able to work his way into the starting QB lineup in his sophomore season due to an injury to Drew Bledsoe. Once he got to the starting point, Brady never looked back and took control of the team.

In this first season, Brady helped the Patriots win the XXXVI Super Bowl against the St.Louis Rams, a game in which Brady won the MVP award. This Super Bowl victory was the first of Brady’s seven rings.

In 2007, the Brady’s were a leading force in a nearly undefeated season, but lost to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII. The following season, Brady suffered a knee injury. Many thought it could be the end of Brady, after several surgeries and rehabilitation that made him miss the entire season.

Despite the injury, the Patriots kept their Starman. Brady led the team to another Super Bowl in 2011. However, the Giants were there again to stop the return of dreams due to injury.

Lionel Messi (football

Early Years
Having become the best player in the history of Barcelona, Messi joined his childhood club Newell’s Old Boys at the age of 6. In the six years he has spent at his youth clubs, Messi has scored almost 500 goals, a sign of things to come. Messi joined Spanish giants Barcelona at the age of 13. It is known that Barça paid for Messi’s treatment with growth hormone, which prevented his move to River Plate.

In October 2004, at the age of 17, Messi made his debut for Barcelona, coming on as a substitute. It is reported that Messi was transferred to the first team after several requests from other first-team players.

A little less than a year later, Messi made his debut for the Argentine national team in a friendly match against Hungary. Messi was eliminated minutes after his presentation after a clash with a defender. Messi became the captain of Barça and the Argentine national team during his career, which brought a record number of individual and team awards.

Anyone who remembers the 2009 Champions League final will tell you about Messi’s stellar qualities in that match. Just one of the many games that he took over and, as a result, put his name in history.

Messi will go down in history as one of the best players to grace the sacred lawn. A football genius who many consider a player blessed by God.
